Quotations are free, provided in writing after a site visit, and fixed for the work specified: the price you accept is the price you pay. If genuinely unforeseeable conditions are discovered once work opens up, we stop and agree any change with you in writing before proceeding. Quotations state their own validity period.
Where you accept a quotation at your home or otherwise away from business premises, you normally have 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, starting the day the contract is made. If you ask us in writing to start within that period and then cancel, you pay for work reasonably done up to cancellation. Your quotation paperwork includes the cancellation notice and form.
We carry out work with reasonable skill and care using the materials specified in your quotation, and we hold public liability insurance. Completed projects carry our 10-year workmanship guarantee as described on the guarantee certificate; Vuba product warranties sit on top on the terms Vuba publishes. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Payment terms, including any agreed staged payments, are stated on your quotation. We do not take payment in full before work starts.
