The base

The biggest factor by far. A sound existing slab saves thousands; a failed base must be rebuilt, and we will show you why on site rather than asking you to take it on trust.

Edges & details

Block borders, steel edging, channel drains, steps and two-tone designs each add modestly. They are also where a drive gets its looks, we price options separately so you choose.

Access & disposal

Skip or grab access, distance from mixer to surface, and how much spoil leaves site. Quoted precisely at the visit, never padded.

Why our quotes are fixed

Every quote follows a visit from the owner and a written specification, construction depths, materials, drainage. That is why we can fix it: a Grantham customer's July 2026 review records that their quote was “guaranteed would not increase”, and it did not. If we find something unforeseeable underground, we stop and talk, you decide before money is spent.

What voids it: alterations by others, vehicle loads beyond the agreed specification, or damage from ground movement outside the works area. We put all of this in writing before you pay a penny.

Pricing FAQs

Is resin cheaper than block paving?

On a like-for-like new build they are comparable; resin overlays on a sound base are usually cheaper than relaying block. The honest answer depends on your existing drive, which is what the free visit establishes.

Do you charge for quotes or designs?

No. The visit, measured design and written specification are free whether or not you go ahead.

Do you take deposits?

We agree the schedule and any staged payments in the written quote before work starts, so there are no surprises on either side.

Why do quotes from different firms vary so much?

Usually the specification: sub-base depth, membrane, edging and resin coverage rates are where corners get cut invisibly. Our written spec lets you compare like for like, take it to any competitor.
