How long does a tarmac drive last?

15 to 20 years with correct construction. Edging containment and drainage are what separate a 20-year drive from a 5-year one.

Can you tarmac over my existing drive?

If the existing surface is stable and levels allow, an overlay is possible and economical. Where the base has failed, overlaying just inherits the problem, we assess it honestly at the quote.

Does tarmac soften in summer?

Fresh tarmac can mark in extreme heat during its first weeks. Once cured, a correctly specified surface course copes with UK summers without issue.
